The African-USA College Soccer Recruitment tour says it has facilitated over $1m scholarships for young Nigerian footballers.

The Programme Director of AUSA, Abdul Oganla, disclosed this on Wednesday,  while unveiling the 2020 beneficiary of the initiative, Adedokun Michael, to journalists in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

According to him, the  19-year-old Adedokun won a full scholarship to study Physical and Health Education at Dayton College, Ohio, USA and would also play football through the AUSA partnership with Baawa Initiative.

Oganla said, “In the past 18 months, we have facilitated over a million dollars in scholarships for kids like Adedokun Michael.
