The beginning of the piece shows the intensity of the speaker towards the Nation/ everything around him – because his experiences are now part of him.

The Revolution

Listening to the Languages used are strictly metaphorical and a little bit of smile used to compare/contrast two similar things which he seems to be:Change. When we show how heavy words could be and wear the lines, we will see the effect on our feelings/ movement of our lives because each word is a spiritual balm that weakens the dead bones in our flesh.

I see things from the other side, because Toby’s words are too experimental to define. His dictions are more than source of inspiration to the deafness of our sense. So, when we pick some literary devices that are mainly to check the ills of the society, this piece is a vital instrument for such advancement.

In this piece, I felt the passion of each lines becoming a body. Especially when he said:

“Everyone speak the Language of war!”.

How? The expression can be fully seen/ understand in aspect of our political leaders. The music played is a sound of bloody rhythm and what the REVOLUTION came to prevail by Toby Abidoun is more than just listening to the lyrics of a gunshot but being a partaker of the positive change.

Toby went further to picture the imagery in dilution of a metaphorical conjunction of the incident presently happening in our country – when he said:

“My country where I am from is a bloody debate and argument”.

I agreeless about the relationship that tally with the above expression, but where do we wear that in our society? It’s still part of the political realms.

All arguments is never in one accord – we all want our voice to be heard. By so doing, there will be a gradual processing of conflict/bloody which won’t end well.

My assumption about this piece is: Listeners of Spoken word poetry often bring with them many related thought:

That a poem is to be read for its “message”.
That this message is “hidden” in the poem.
The message is to be found by treating the words as symbols which naturally do not mean what they say but stand for something else.

You have to decipher every single word to appreciate and enjoy the piece.

There are no easy ways to dispel these biases. Poetry is difficult because very often its language is indirect. But so is experience – those things we think, feel, and do.

The lazy readers wants to be told things and usually avoids poetry because it demands commitment and energy.

Moreover, much of what this spoken word poetry has to offer is not in the form of hidden meanings.

Many poets like to “play” with the sound of language or offer an emotional insight by describing what they see in highly descriptive language. In fact, there can many different ways to enjoy poetry; this reflects the many different styles and objectives of poets themselves.

Finally, if you are the type to give up when something is unclear, just relax! Like we just said, there can be many different approaches to examining poetry; often these approaches (like looking for certain poetic devices or examining the meaning of a specific phrase) do not require a complete and exhaustive analysis of a poem. So, enjoy what you do understand in a every bit.

I said earlier that poetry is not always about hidden or indirect meanings (sometimes called
meaning play ). Nevertheless, if often is a major part of poetry, so here some of the important things to remember.

In general, Spoken word poetry deals with particular things in concrete language, since our emotions most readily respond to these things.

From the poem’s particular situation, the listener may then generalize; the generalities arise by implication from the particular.

In other words, the Language is most often concrete and particular; the “message,”.if there is any, is general and abstract; it’s implied by the images.
Images, in turn, suggest meanings beyond the mere identity of the specific object. Poetry “plays” with meaning when it identifies resemblances or makes comparisons between things.

Toby Abiodun has said not everything needed to be said because not everything in life is FAKE like he said: we can never get a clear picture but some pictures are meant to represent the reflection of ours and how we move the positive change. Even though we are lost; we can still find our feets to stand like never before – so we should keep aiming for better REVOLUTION to be attained.
