Applications are invited from researchers in the field of public health to apply for the 2021/2022 African-German Scientific Exchange Programme.
This is an initiative of Cooperation in the Area of Public Health Research between Sub-Saharan African and German Researchers aimed at helping participating researchers identify joint interests in the area of public health and initiate new collaborative ventures.

Details
The programme is an initiative to establish an international collaboration to facilitate research relationships between researchers from sub-Saharan Africa and Germany. The initiative covers all research questions that are primarily concerned with population health. It also considers public health issues relating to infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases; One Health; availability, quality and utilisation of data for health monitoring and surveillance; mental health etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants for the African-German Scientific Exchange Programme 2021/2022 must meet the following requirements:
- Researchers must be from countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Germany can apply.
- Applicants must hold a doctorate and have a track record in their respective research field.
- Must demonstrate excellent leadership abilities.
- A good display of inter-personal skills
- Must be willing to collaborate with researchers in sub-Saharan Africa and Germany as the case may be.

How to Apply
Interested applicants for the Scientific Exchange Programme 2021 are to submit proposals containing at least one applicant from Germany and one cooperation partner from sub-Saharan Africa. Qualified researchers from all countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Germany will thereafter be invited to submit posters.
