The payment which commenced on Friday saw some of the Enumerators smiling home with Hundreds of Thousand of Naira after a very long period of unrelenting agitation.

Some of the Enumerators lamented they have been underpaid by the Ministry as they received just a few thousand Naira, incommensurate to the amount of work they delivered in the AFJP Farmers Project.
According to a breakdown of the Payment released by the Enumerators in anticipation for full remuneration, the current payment is for work done from March 2021 to December 2021.

The Enumerators echoed that they expect more credit Alerts into their Bank Accounts as they await payment for Soil Sampling and “Full payment” which constitutes about 50% of the Previous Payments.

Recall that it was clearly stated at the outset of the AfJP project, that the Enumerators would be paid the sum of N500 per each successfully upload and accepted “workdone” in two trenches: half of earning in a week to be paid at the end of every week and remaining halves of the duration of the project to be paid as a whole sum, one month after the completion of the project while planning for a legal action.
