It is no longer news that NCC has given MTN, Airtel, GLO, Etisalat others 2-Weeks Ultimatum To Block SIM Cards Without NIN. This is how to check if your number is safe.


Yesterday, December 15 2020, The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) gave network operators 2-Weeks Ultimatum To Block SIM Cards Without National Identification Number (NIN).

To check if you are safe from being blocked, dial the codes below according to your network provider:

  • MTN users: dial *789*1#
  • Airtel users – dial *746#
  • 9mobile users – dial *746# or *200#
  • Glo users – text REG to 746 or 3456
