In this short Interview section, Buchiwrites (Born Onyebuchi Happiness Raphael-Agadama) gives insight into her life and the journey of becoming a scriptwriter.


Below is our correspondence with the scriptwriter, who hailed from Delta State, Nigeria.

Q: Introduce Yourself.

Ans: My name is Onyebuchi Happiness Raphael-Agadama (popularly known as Buchiwrites ). I am a scriptwriter, a filmmaker a wife, and life coach. I hail from Delta state in southern Nigeria.

Q: Are you Single?

Ans: No, I am happily married to Raphael Agadama.

Q: Tell us about your career as a scriptwriter.

Ans: Being a scriptwriter has been a dream come to light, entertainment is as important as the food we eat, and getting the right entertainment is as important as eating the right meal. As a scriptwriter, I have always desired to ingest right contents and this desire ignited my journey and I have been able to provide heart thrilling content and giving quality entertainment. I am still giving and will continue to get better. Being a scriptwriter is exciting but you have to be ready to put in the hard work of research, creativity, and of course the funds . Your imagination is your power and you must learn to use it.

Q: How many scripts have you written?

Ans: I honestly cannot say, I have lost count but there are quite a number, so many that are yet to air on television. Just to put a number, I have worked on twenty major (20) scripts and currently working on more.

Q: What are you working on now?

Ans: I am working on my latest Online written comedy series CHRONICLES OF ERIKA. It airs daily on my Instagram page @official_buchiwrites. I am also working with an amazing film-maker, Sam Jullius, the CEO of NDTV NETWORKS, we have amazing movies coming soon.

Q: Describe yourself in a few words.

Ans: Passionate, loving, ambitious, and God-fearing.

Q:Β  What do you have to say to upcoming writers and filmmakers out there and to the people who support you?

Ans: Keep writing, don’t stop, it takes years but don’t stop, put yourself out there, use social media for your good, and put your career out there. And for everyone supporting me, Thank you, without you, there would not be any need to keep making films. So thank you for keeping up with me.
