Consistency and determination have been my driving force – Mojéré Shínàayòni

In this interview session with Mojéré Shínàayòni, the writer-cum-model took us through his life, career and hustle as a young aspiring individual striving to achieve the best of life for himself.

Adaobi Uche delivered this in correspondence with the model:

Q: We know Mojéré Shínàayòni to be a poet, a model and an influencer among other related things. Is there anything else we do not know?

A: Mojèrè is also a tourist, pan-africanist and lover of humanity.

Q: Can we say that these in any way influence your poetry?

A: Maybe but in all I do, poetry reflects. Mine portray things poetically and creatively. Poetry is just what I do for pleasure. I write as the spirit leads.

Q: So you share the belief that poetry is spiritual?

A: Poetry can be mythical and spiritual, something sacred. Everyone becomes a poet when they find someone that captures their heart. Love is poetry and poetry is love.

Q: How did you find poetry?

A: Poetry found me at a very tender age as an introvert. I love the beauty of nature so I pen out my thought in black & white.

Q: How often do you write?

A: I have no set time. My busy schedule and other things I engage in makes me unable to be consistent with Poetry.

Q: And these other assignments have somehow brought you before the camera?

A: Yes, several times. I founded an organization in which our motive is to promote poetry and African culture. We hold poetry festival annually.

Q: When was this organization founded?

A: In 2016. Horn Of Afroclassical Poets

Q: 2016 through today has seen you do more. How has it been for you handling all of these along with modelling?

A: I find it very helpful knowing what to do and when to do it alongside the power of determination and will.

Q: You mentioned earlier that you were an introvert. Does that remain true to now?

A: True to date.

Q: How have you been able to manage that?

A: That I am a very private person doesn’t mean I’m not social. I do what I should.

Q: Mojèrè, may I say a big congratulations to you on your endorsement as an ambassador of Sponscall Integrated Services. Would you like to tell us something about that?

A: Sponscall Integrated Services, is a relay call platform, with the mission of spreading happiness through effective communication with well-scripted words, which would thereby leave the recipient with the feeling of being loved and at the long run peaceful coexistence within the members of the community and the world at large.

Sponscall is a surprise call platform, where we serve as an intermediary between people and whosoever they wish to call, conveying their heartfelt messages or wishes in an emphatic manner in such a way that would leave the recipient with the feeling of being loved and appreciated.

Q: How has life been with Sponscall?

A: Well, I must say it’s a privilege, not a right to be an Ambassador to Sponscall Integrated Services. I’m highly delighted.

Q: Since the inception of your career as a writer and model, what challenges have you faced?

A: Well, poetry is just what I do for pleasure. I write as the spirit leads. I believe every human is designed and destined to face challenges in life, only those who never think of growth or achievements will say life is free of challenges.

Q: This is the point where we ask you to share with us one thing that has kept you through and that you think can be helpful to others.

A: Consistency & determination. That has been my driving force.
