In today’s Latest PYES News, we will be updating you on your application shortlisting status. So read on!

We noticed that some of the PYES applicants have been asking questions about how to check their Shortlist status so we decided to create this post to share more light on P-YES shortlisting.


The Presidential Youth empowerment scheme PYES application period has just ended. The management should by now be conducting the process that will lead to shortlisting. As such, no Applicants have been successfully Shortlisted for the 2022 programme yet.

If you visit the P-YES portal, you will notice that they are no longer accepting applications. If you open the apply now button, you will get a reply stating that the application has closed. So if you have applied for the PYES, we are encouraging you to be patient and keep checking the portal regularly for new updates regarding shortlisting.

The P-YES is initiated to fight and reduce unemployment among Nigerian youth by creating at least 774,000 jobs through direct youth empowerment targeting to deliver 1000 jobs per local government. It will empower youth to have the Capacity to empower at least one other youth within their immediate community in the shortest time possible.

According to PYES, the scheme will create wealth among the growing youth population and guarantee sustained income for target groups thereby strategically eliminating the scourge of criminality and drug abuse among the youth by empowering them to be productively engaged.
