1. Job Title: Accountant

     Location: Irrua, Edo

Description

• The role holder will be charged with undertaking accounting activities such as but not limited to: Maintaining proper accounting records, preparing monthly/yearly financial reports, checking general ledger entries, liaising with auditors, service providers, and vendors and providing them professional accounting support and accurate information.
• The role holder should be responsible for preparing tax returns, tracking tax liabilities, and providing financial expertise in any tax-related matters.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a good Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with minimum of 7 years accounting experience plus membership of relevant accounting professional body such as ICAN, ACCA, is required.

2. Job Title: Library Officer

    Location: Irrua, Edo

Job Description

• The role holder will be charged with assisting the University Librarian to ensure efficient library operations and administration and to effectively maintain the library and its materials by providing customer-focused support to members of the University Academic community including students, researchers, and lecturers.

 Job Requirement

• The successful candidate is required to have a good Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.

3. Job Title: Quality Health and Safety Officer

     Location: Irrua, Edo

Description

• The Quality Health and Safety Officer is responsible for providing support to the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Departments in line with Educational Organisation Management System (EOMS).

Qualifications

The role holder shall be required to possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences with a 5-8 years’ work experience in Health, Safety and Environment, Quality Management and Document Control.
• An advanced degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in use of Computer and Software skills
• Demonstrable knowledge of Quality Health Safety Management Systems

Will be Required to Ensure:

• Awareness and adherence to all EOMS Policies and Procedures within the University
• Conduct inspection of work environment and give progress reports to Key Management.

7. Job Title: Physical Planning and Development Officer

Description

• The Physical planning and development officer is responsible for assisting with the day to day running and maintenance of university infrastructure (including the buildings, roads, and other properties including provision of utilities in the University).

Qualifications

The person seeking employment as the Physical planning and development officer shall be required under the University’s terms and conditions of employment to possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or other related discipline with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
• Membership of relevant professional bodies such as Council of the Regulation of Engineering (COREN), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), ARCON for Architects or QSRBN for Quantity Surveyors or NIOB for builders, is required.

Competencies Required:

• The role holder is the Chief Accounting Officer of the University and is responsible for the day-to-day administration, control, and supervision of the financial matters of the University towards financial sustainability of the University and overall aim and objectives of the University.

Qualifications

• The person seeking employment as the Bursar shall be required under the University’s terms and conditions of employment to possess the following qualifications:
• A good Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a recognized University.
• At least 10 years relevant post-qualification experience in Accounting and Finance administration.
• Professional membership in any of the following bodies: ICAN, ACCA or equivalent accounting bodies is required.

30. Job Title: Vice Chancellor

Details

• The Vice Chancellor is the Chief Executive and Chief Academic Officer of the University and shall provide necessary academic, administrative, and Institutional leadership for the advancement of the University’s mission, vision, and strategies.
• S / he is responsible to the Council for the day-to-day management of the human, financial and material resources of the University.

Responsibilities

• Drive the University’s vision, mission, and strategies.

Qualifications

• The Vice Chancellor shall hold office for one term of Five (5) years. The person seeking employment as the Vice Chancellor shall be required under the University’s terms and conditions of employment to possess the following qualifications and competencies shown below:
• A Doctorate (PhD) Degree, in addition to a good first degree in one of the disciplines offered by Mudiame University; not lower than second class upper, from a reputable University.
• A professorial qualification of not less than 10 years in one of the disciplines offered by Mudiame University.
• A professor with an extensive academic, teaching, and managerial experience
• An outstanding scholar of national and international repute with verifiable record of quality research, extensive publications, and contribution to knowledge
• Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Information Management Systems
• Proficiency in implementing Quality Management Systems is desirable
• She/He must have good physical and mental health.
• The Vice Chancellor must not be older than 60 years at the date of assumption of duty.

• The University Librarian is responsible for setting up and providing effective strategic leadership and management of Mudiame University Library in a manner that advances the vision and mission of the University.

Qualifications

• The person seeking employment as the Librarian shall be required under the University’s terms and conditions of employment to possess the following qualifications:
• A higher Degree in Library Science or related discipline with a minimum of Second-class upper required.
• A minimum of 10 years’ post qualification relevant experience working in an academic library.
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of library databases.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of key trends in library science, software, and automated library systems including the ability to evaluate and implement appropriate emerging technologies.

• The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the University.
• The Registrar is an ex-officio member of the Governing Council, and the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the University.

Qualifications

The Registrar shall hold office for one term of Five (5) years. The person seeking employment as the Registrar shall be required under the University’s terms and conditions of employment to possess the following qualifications:

• A good (Honours) Degree plus ten (10) years post qualification relevant administrative experience in university or comparable institution, with a minimum of five (5) years at the Management level.
• Possession of relevant higher Degree or Postgraduate professional qualification in the appropriate field(s).
• Candidate must be competent in the use of ICT for management services.
• Membership of relevant professional association is mandatory.
