UBA Foundation, the CSResponsibility arm of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, humbly requests applications from Senior Secondary students in Nigeria for an essay competition.
The competition is a follow up on UBA’s Foundation’s Read Africa Initiative, provides a quite educative and competitive platform to develop the intellectual and writing abilities of senior secondary school students in Nigeria. The Winner gets educational grant to study in any African University of their choice. The competion is held yearly since 2011 with students taking up challenge to write on different engaging topics to test their writing and cognitive skills.

Prizes to Be Won:
- 2nd Prize: N1,500,000 or its local currency equivalent towards university tuition/ fees
- 1st Prize: N2,000,000 or its local currency equivalent towards university tuition/ fees
- 3rd Prize: N1,000,000 or its local currency
- Equivalent towards university tuition/ fees
Requirement:
Applicants must be senior secondary school students schooling in Nigeria.
