Rapid Response Register (RRR) Update, Enumeration and Validation Exercise 2022

The Federal Government has continued the payment of N30,000 Rapid Response Register (RRR) NASSCO COVID-19 Cash Transfer to the beneficiaries of the Programme.

Many applicants of the programme yesterday confirmed to have received the NASSCO COVID-19 RRR Alert of N30,000, being a lump sum of N5,000 for 6 Months.

The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk had noted that to date, out of one million beneficiaries targeted by the government in the Pilot Phase of the Rapid Response Register, the Ministry has been able to pay the sum of N5000 to over 850,000 beneficiaries digitally through the Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System, where each account is carefully validated by the system before payment.

Farouk disclosed that from June 2022, a set of two million beneficiaries would start receiving N5,000 basic cash transfers and additional N5,000 Conditional Cash Transfers to their Bank Accounts, which would amount to N20 billion to be splashed on the beneficiaries of the National Cash Transfer Programme.

Recently, another Batch of the COVID-19 RRR beneficiaries completed their enumeration and validation exercise on 5th June 2022, and soon Payment of the N30,000 NASSCO COVID-19 Cash Transfer would be disbursed massively to the beneficiaries.

The N30,000 NASSCO COVID-19 Rapid Response Register payment is a lump sum made up of N5,000 monthly payment for six months duration of the programme.

The National Social Safety-Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO) had clarified that the Federal Government is expanding the Rapid Response Register (RRR) to reach 5 million urban poor with cash transfers and #SafetyNets.

NASSCO stated that the programme is targeting more potential beneficiaries, adding that the Rapid Response Register project is not ending anytime soon.
