Also, on social platforms, you can find everything from class notes to study materials, video lectures, etc. the best part of social media is unlike the classroom system, social media is free for everyone to use.

During quarantine time, we all have seen how classes were conducted, which proved to all of us that you do not need to fly thousands of miles. These methods come into the role at times like pandemics and long-distance learning. And social media became a new norm that helped students further to connect to their teachers and students at times like these. Indirectly; you can say social media has brought classrooms to everyone’s house.

Generate Awareness 

There was a time when you needed to be an activist to raise your voice and awareness regarding something. But in the digital era of social media, it all is pretty easy; if you have a valid point, you will get support from the majority. So you can say students while scrolling their social media feed, gain new information every single day. They learn about everything from current affairs to general news. Any big news does not take minutes to flash on social media.

Bring Creativity Out

Due to social media, multiple students are able to showcase their talent and art. Also, those who aren’t comfortable get motivation from others, which helps these students in their personality grooming. Posting good photography, video editing, etc., is also an art; while looking for new things, students often generate new hobbies which help them channelise their free time and energy into good things.

  • There are around 79.7 per cent of students who use it to obtain new information.
  •  Around 74 per cent use social platforms to stay in touch with their friends.
  •  Fifty-five per cent use it in order to facilitate work.
  • 447.1 per cent use these social platforms to stay in touch with their family mates. 
  • and last but not least, around 43.6 per cent use it for chatting purposes

The above-written statics are rough calculations, but you have an idea of how much social media plays a role in a student’s life.
