Spain

Soccer World Academy

The academy offers young footballers from different countries the opportunity to enter professional football in Spain. Children under the age of 4 as well as adults up to the age of 25 can participate.

The training takes place in the form of a camp.

A prerequisite for admission to the academy is that the students have no commitments or contracts with other clubs or football associations. To participate, you’ve to register and fill in a questionnaire. You’ll then receive a reply with a registration code and further instructions. Next, you need to send a copy of your passport and documents confirming sporting awards and achievements. Pay the invoice received for the payment of the reserve under the annual programme or 100% of the amount under other programmes. After the student has received a residence permit, payment will be made according to the payment schedule before his/her arrival in Spain.

The cost of the programme depends on the type of services offered.

Sánchez Casal Tennis Academy

The Sanchez Casal Academy offers several study programmes, including an American public school with the possibility of living in the Academy’s residence. The education is provided in English. Students also have the option of taking an additional intensive course, with two hours of training every day.

Training in a sports boarding school requires a certain tennis level. The level is assessed by the academy’s coaches. To reserve a place at the school, you need to fill in an application form, pay the registration fee and 10% of the total cost of the training. There’s a small discount if you pay for the course at the same time.

There are also yearly ongoing programmes for teenagers, summer courses and programmes for adults. Sánchez Casal has many sponsors, thanks to whom particularly successful students can expect to receive a scholarship.

USA

The biggest advantage of US universities is the possibility to enrol in different programmes at top universities and receive an athletic scholarship. This is a programme run by American universities that allows student athletes to receive scholarships based on their athletic and academic achievements. The funding can be up to $58,000 per year and cover 30 to 100% of tuition fees. No other country in the world has a comparable programme. The scholarship is awarded in 30 different sports.

Students in grades 8-11 and students in courses 1-3 can participate in the scholarship programme. An important requirement for receiving the scholarship is playing sports at a professional level.

Participating universities are listed in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), National Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NAIA) and National Junior University Athletic Association (NJCAA) directories.

There are other countries where you can start your sports career. But these universities are the most popular in the world and also easily accessible.
