TETFund Chairman, Board of Trustees, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, disclosed this during an engagement with tertiary institutions in the northeast held in Yola, Adamawa State.

He urged heads of tertiary institutions to utilise the facilities properly.

He also assured Nigerians that the Fund would continue to provide interventions in the areas of infrastructure, scholarship bursary, innovation, and research and development.

TETFund’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Sulaiman Bagoro, said the establishment of the publishing Centres was key to developing Nigeria’s publishing sector.

Lamenting that the nation’s tertiary institutions depended on materials produced overseas, Bagoro reiterated that TETFund was committed to improving capacity for local production of textbooks and other academic materials.

The Vice-chancellor, Moddibo Adama University of Technology, Yola, Prof. Abdullahi Liman Tukur, called for support for the 16 universities in the northeast, saying the region had huge economic potentials that needed to be harnessed.
