In a land of several unwarranted wanton killings where known killers are shielded from facing the law, a land where unknown gun men remain unknown forever. With this scenario playing out in our land, there is no gainsaying that some persons have already gone to sleep not minding the sanctity of lives of those of us on the waiting list of these blood thirsty men who beset us on daily basis. There is therefore a need for an urgent call to stem the tide.
In this book, the Author has woven these roses as a collection of poems on several bloodletting in Nigeria. Through his pen, Olabisi has been able to name the unnamed, point out the plagues in our lands, and shape our worlds, but most importantly this collection is a sound of alarm intended to jolt us out of our sleep into taking actions for the benefit of all and to guide against any form of bitterness that can lead to further killings in our land.
The collection offers a wake-up call to arrest the anomalies of incessant killings in our dear country and the rate at which it has increased overtime, leading to loss of lives and properties.
