FG Conducting Nationwide Refresher Training for Health Workers

The Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria, in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and its partners, is conducting a nationwide Refresher Training for Frontline Health Workers.

This training includes Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, Community Health Extension Workers, and other professionals providing clinical services in public primary health care facilities.

The primary goal of this facility-level training is to strengthen the skills of Frontline Health Workers in public primary health facilities, enhancing their capacity to deliver high-quality health services and improve health outcomes across Nigeria.

This program has enabled the Federal Government to train over 43,279 healthcare providers across 25 states, equipping them with skills in leading discussions, active listening, accurate observation, proper diagnosis, and effective treatment at the primary healthcare level. It also fosters ongoing professional development for frontline healthcare workers nationwide.
