NITDA Begins NAVSA Empowerment Programme In Katsina – In its drive to build robust digital agriculture, the Federal Government of Nigeria, through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, commences Empowerment Programme for farmers via National Adopted Village for Smart Agriculture (NAVSA) in Katsina State.

The Programme is presenting a green energy-powered smart irrigation system to support a year-long production, smart brooding to improve the survival rate of broilers, and soil intelligence systems to support information-driven farming.

NAVSA is part of Federal Government initiatives, being implemented by National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, to transform agriculture, connect ecosystem players across the agriculture value chain, position agriculture as a business for improved contribution to GDP and economic growth.

The National Adopted Village for Smart Agriculture (NAVSA) Empowerment Programme is taking place at Muhammadu Sunusi II ICT Hall, Al-Qalam University, Katsina State.
