Chibuzo Nwokafor, a student from Nigeria, had been seeking for scholarships for the past three years.

According to him, he applied 67 times throughout that time span, with 63 of those applications being rejected.

He has, however, been awarded a master’s degree scholarship at a UK university, allowing him to pursue his passion.

The young man’s achievement is the product of his tenacity and dedication.

Despite several rejections, he refused to be discouraged.

He was awarded a Commonwealth shared scholarship to the University of West Scotland in the United Kingdom to study biotechnology.

Chibuzo Okafor stated that he was the 11th individual to be nominated for the scholarship.

He described his ordeal in his LinkedIn article, saying:

Over the last three years, I’ve applied to over 67 scholarships.” I was rejected in 63 of them, placed on the reserve list in three, and finally nominated in one.

My one yes, as my father put it, was entirely worth it. In later posts, I’ll have to explain and provide specifics.

This is what I’m saying: To Him who believes, anything is possible, and all gifts flow from God through men to men.”

Many Nigerians used social media to appreciate and celebrate Chibuzo’s achievement.
