Honourable Israel Adesokan in his remark said he was impressed that some of the students from Iyin-Ekiti performed well while the others performed above average considering the overall performance across the country.

The former security aide added that his decision to give scholarships to the brilliant students was borne out of the promise that he would handsomely reward the five best candidates who score 250 and above in the examination.

In his words,

“I have always said that the best form of empowerment is education. I am happy to receive the results of the indigent students that we gave free JAMB forms earlier this year.

“Helping the younger generation to access quality education is the best way to prepare them for the future. I did promise that I would handsomely reward the five who score 250 and above. We are all aware that the results this year across the country are not too fine.

“Regardless of this, we still have some of our candidates who scored more than 200. We will help those who did well with their admission and we will give scholarships to the best three and two other runners-up,” he said.

According to the results, Adegoke Ademola who scored 259 had the highest mark among the other candidates who scored well above 200. Filani Adebowale who came second had 248 while Alfonso Ayomide scored 226.
