Ramadan Poem | Day 28: The Night by Onafowokan Taofeek Busayo

THE NIGHT

The night had grown old in the hands
It had become a grey hair turning fear
The night had turned blue in the sky
And the moon had become so high
The night had turned dark in the sea
And the walk
had become unseen
In the night
of majestical appearance
its height
     wears the armour of time
its weight
wears the garment of 1000 months

its sight
 becomes an eye of mercy.
The night would
turned light a day
And the seekers
of repentance would
turned a new
born.
