Enugu state ministry of Health yesterday, 16th April affirms the current number of coronavirus case in the state to be zero, hence the state is reportedly free of the Covid-19 case . Enugu now records zero cases of Coronavirus after the alleged two cases have been successfully treated and tested negative.

This statement as reported by the Punch NG was announced by Enugu state commissioner for health, Dr Ikechukwu last night, after the successful treatment of both positive cases and the discharge of the second index case after being tested negative to the virus.
According to the Health Commissioner, “Two of them are now negative for the coronavirus and have been discharged.”
He continued;
“We encourage our people to continue to stay at home, try not to touch your face without having washed your hands, maintain strict hand and respiratory hygiene, wear a facemask in line with the NCDC’s advisory and maintain physical distancing.”
Recall that two weeks ago, the Nigeria Centre for Disease control announced two Coronavirus index cases which included a couple who were reportedly recent returnees from the United States.
