Applications are open for the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology) Scholarship 2021 in Japan. This program is for Nigerian teachers who want to study as Teacher training students.
The Embassy of Japan in Nigeria will use this opportunity to attract Nigerian Schools that wish to start Japanese Language classes or courses at their school. Beneficiaries shall upon their return, help to promote Japanese Language education in Nigeria.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to graduates of universities and teachers’ training colleges no more than thirty-four (34) years of age who have taught as teachers at primary/secondary schools or teacher training colleges for at least five years.
How to Apply
- Applicants must submit all required documents to the Japanese diplomatic mission in the applicant’s country.
- Submissions are done in person or through courier service to the Embassy. No email submission accepted.
- Do not submit original documents, only notarised/authenticated/verified copies by the alma mater or a court would be accepted preliminarily.
