Remote SEO Content Editor at Express Writers, Nigeria | $17 per hour

Express Writers is hiring content editors and SEO writers for a 100% remote position. Pay is made every two weeks to writers.

We are a content agency of 9+ years, and we are searching for awesome, SEO and online content savvy (web, blog, etc) editors who can edit for a few hours daily Monday to Friday. We’ll take a few hours additionally on the weekend if you’re available! Set your own hours, as long as they’re in our work time, CST time zone. We are open to non-USA as long as you have an above-average grasp of English.

We need your eyes to review and make sure our 90+ writers are creating great stuff at a capable, in-depth, high-quality level, that matches exactly what our clients are looking for.

Responsibilities:

• Login to our workroom daily and work in our editing queue, where writers send their work for editing, consistently edit and review content that passes through per our editing checklist (must use our editing checklist every time)
• Look for grammar, SEO, client topic/brand name usage for accuracy
• Recognize and know SEO content formats and make quick, accurate judgments (i.e. this is too promotional for a blog, this writer sent in a web page and needs to send in a blog, this blog is missing the focus keyword, etc.)
• Make sure the content is what the client ordered (you’ll have the client’s input forms, etc along with the task and content assignment)
• Do not allow content that doesn’t match what the client wants to pass through. This is the biggest must. When you see red flags, your job will be to alert our team manager, not always fix it yourself
• Use Slack, teamroom and stay on top of team communication
• Eagle eyes and OCD grammarians welcome!

We have tons of consistent editing available! All work-from-home, 100%, set-your-own hours.

Set rates:

$2/500w and $5/500w, depending on the level of content you’re editing. Editors with at least five years of content creation experience (required!) can easily get through 4- 5,000w/hours, which is $17-20 per hour. However, this hour minimum is not offered. It’s just an idea of pay rate. $2/500w and $5/500w for the levels we determine is our fixed, firm pay rate.

For additional pay: You can work on additional tasks and train as a Content Strategist and copywriter to fill your schedule with more work as well. ($20/500w writing pay rate, $12-60 per keyword report/topic report tasks.)

Pay is made every two weeks, consistently, via PayPal, on our payroll. You get set up in our system, with a thorough, detailed orientation; and communication is only between our management, editorial team, and you! You never have to deal with the client. Ever. This is a dream situation for many of our people.

This is CONSISTENT ongoing work. This is a work-from-home position. You must be serious! No dilly-dallying: show up every day, edit, and keep getting paid. Do you have experience working productively from home? You’ll thrive in our environment and earn real income.

You should at least have 5 years of experience as a content creator or online content editor.

You should know and be familiar with SEO standards and writing optimized content that will rank in Google, and win with readers. Ideally, you should know some conversion standards. If you’ve taken Brian Dean or Joanna Wiebe’s courses, that is a huge plus.
