UNFPA Global Internship Programme 2024

In its strategic plan for the years 2022 to 2025, UNFPA maintains the relevance of its current course while concentrating on three transformative goals: ending needless maternal deaths, meeting unmet family planning needs, and putting an end to harmful gender-based practices.

We need personnel that are transparent, excellent in how they handle the resources entrusted to them, and committed to delivering excellence in program results. UNFPA is looking for professionals who transform, inspire, and achieve high impact and sustained results.

Eligibility Criteria

The following prerequisites must be met at the time of application for participants in the UNFPA internship program:

• Be enrolled in a master’s degree program or higher, or other postgraduate program;
• a first university degree program (such as a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent) in its final academic year of enrollment;
• Possess a recent university degree (as described in (a) and (b) above), and, if chosen, they must begin their Internship within a year of graduation;
• To complete the internship as a requirement of a postgraduate professional training program.

Benefits of UNFPA Global Internship Programme

A stipend is available to interns who do not get financial assistance from a third party (such as an academic institution, university, or government) to help with living costs. The stipend is determined by the intern’s agreed-upon place of employment, which, in circumstances of distant agreements, may differ from the duty station of the recruiting office. At the conclusion of each month, the stipend is typically paid in the local currency.
