Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the security of lives and company property, posting of guards to posts and general patrol of the plant, and the residential estates.

The role will be responsible for the co-ordination of cement haulage process at Gate 1 and access control of unauthorized persons into the factory and premises, monitoring the movement of top management cadre and expatriates through radio communication.

He/she will also investigate cases and write reports to the Senior Security Officer, Security Manager as required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring security coverage for the Plant and Estates, availability of able and competent security personnel.
  • Ensuring high security quality in all areas of operation.
  • Ensure cordial relationship between the workers and security agencies through effective interaction and communication.
  • Ensure that adequate records of movement of goods in and out of the company are kept.
  • Ensure the security coverage of Lafarge Africa Plc cement products haulage to various depots – through train wagons etc.
  • Responsible for preparation of security duty roster and posting of security operatives to beats/posts in the factory and the estates.
  • Responsible for investigating cases and making recommendations.
  • Signing of invoices of goods supplied to the company and security related documents.
  • Responsible for coordinating cement haulage process at gate 1
  • Responsible for controlling the access of unauthorized persons into the factory.
  • Responsible for handling accident cases involving company vehicles.
  • Responsible for the arrangement for the bail of staff from police custody/court and escorting witness(es) on court adjournment days.
  • Representing Lafarge Africa Plc outside the factory in security related matters.
  • Ensuring security coverage for the Plant and Estates, availability of able and competent security personnel.
  • Ensuring that expatriates are escorted without delay to their destinations.

    • Interacts regularly with informants on security and safety matters and forward relevant information to the Security Manager
    • Assists the Senior Security Officer when acting as a liaison officer between management, law enforcement agencies and other relevant stakeholders

Job Summary

The position is responsible for safety/production clothing, explosives, grinding media, refractory bricks, oils & greases, other production supplies, mechanical spares, mobile plant spares, electrical spares, instrumentation/automation spares, generators spares, petrol and diesel, laboratory supplies and general services supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for general coordination and supervision of stores administration and inventory management.
  • Supervision of stock receipts, transfers, issues, returns and general stores accounting.
  • Responsible for managing the inventory and ensure optimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Ensures relevant spares and materials are stocked.
  • Responsible for company’s procedure related to stock material management.
  • Receive and confirm for approval the purchase requisition for stock items.
  • Ensures the removal of obsolete items as determined by the users.

  • Maintains stock items in good and appropriate condition
  • Contributes in optimisation of Working Capital Requirement (WCR) by optimising stock holding and cost of storage.

Qualifications and Requirements:
