In the latest update of the COVID 19 pandemic, Nigeria recorded 196 new cases, as reported by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as of Wednesday evening, April 29th.

In a tweet released by NCDC few hours ago, the breakdown reads thus;

As at 11:55pm 29th April- 1728 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.

Given the figures in this breakdown, Nigeria has now recorded 1728 confirmed cases, 307 discharged cases which is less than 18% of the total cases, then a totality of 51 deaths amongst which we have the Late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari who died on 18th April 2020.
Just six days ago, there were 981 confirmed cases in Nigeria and that was when we published an article stating the tension amongst Nigerians given the increase in curve.
