General Requirements for the NHIS Recruitment

To be eligible for full-time employment, here are the key requirements to keep in mind:

  • Demonstrated good behaviour and composure
  • Willingness to adapt to new work environments
  • Possession of a valid means of identification, such as a driver’s license, National Identification Card, International passport, Voters card, or NIN Number
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
  • Current practice license from the relevant Regulatory Council
  • Full registration with the appropriate Regulatory Council
  • For higher positions, a post-graduate qualification in public health, family medicine, health planning, or management is advantageous
  • For specific roles like Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, and Laboratory Science, relevant qualifications recognized by the respective councils are necessary
  • Experience and skills in healthcare services and facilities monitoring and evaluation are preferred
  • Depending on the position, specific years of experience may be required beyond entry-level.

How to Apply for the NHIS Recruitment

To initiate your application process, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare an application letter with a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  2. Photocopy your certificates.
