You recall that a few weeks ago, the management of Npower Nasims carried out an update on the Nasims self-service portal and as a result, some of the beneficiaries’ information on the portal was changed. Beneficiaries’ status changed from Beneficiaries to applicants.

Today the 18th of August 2023, Nasims stated that the N-power batch C beneficiaries’ status on the npower program has been updated back to “BENEFICIARY after the update. Beneficiaries can now Login to the Nasims portal to confirm their current status.

Furthermore, the Ministry in charge of the Npower programme, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, and poverty alleviation has gotten a new Minister Dr. Betta Edu.

With this new development, we hope that the management will reenergize the Npower program to its past glory and hopefully clear the 8-month unpaid stipends of the beneficiaries.

At the NEC meeting in Abuja on Thursday 17th August 2023, Council received progress reports on the ongoing nationwide distribution of rice, grains, fertilizer, and other items to States and N5 billion in financial support, provided by the Federal Government and commended the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for their interventions.

Council then noted various interventions by State governments and urged them to upscale the distribution of palliatives toward alleviating the suffering of citizens, especially the vulnerable groups
