Yesterday, December 15 2020, The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) gave network operators 2-Weeks Ultimatum To Block SIM Cards Without National Identification Number (NIN).
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has given telecommunications operators (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9Mobile and others) in the country two weeks to block all SIM cards that are not registered with the National Identity Numbers (NIN), the Commission has said in a statement.

To check if you are safe from being blocked, dial the codes below according to your network provider:
- MTN users: dial *789*1#
- Airtel users – dial *746#
- 9mobile users – dial *746# or *200#
- Glo users – text REG to 746 or 3456
