The Boroondara Literary Awards, held annually by the Boroondara Library Service are run by Council in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Balwyn.

Being in existence since 1999, he Awards celebrate the creativity of writers and poets within the City of Boroondara and nationwide.
Guidelines:
- Open to any Australian resident
- Entry fee: Free
- Theme: Open
- Length: 1,500-3,000 words
- Opens: 9 am 4th May 2020
- Closes: 5 pm 28th August 2020
Prizes:
- 1st $1,500 2nd $1,000 3rd $500
- Keith Carroll Award $500 prize to the best entry from a Boroondara resident.
