Wholesale Segment Lead

Job Specifications:

Job Description:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of the day-to-day activities of the wholesale desk team.
  • Take custody of the wholesale strategy document and drive the implementation of the wholesale customer segment strategy.
  • Develop compelling and targeted customer value propositions, strategies for target segments and a business case for improvement initiatives.
  • Outline product needs such as segment requirements and channel inclinations to product development stakeholders.
  • Ensure that other stakeholders fully understand customer pain points to address product improvement requirements.
  • Pair existing and new products to value propositions.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of a range of products, programs, and schemes for the wholesale target beneficiaries & ensure effectiveness of products, programs and/or schemes.
  • Identify innovative funding partners (local and international) and the requirements for activating the desired strategic partnerships.
  • Steer cross functional stakeholder groups to improve and manage a portfolio of products to augment market share within target segments.
  • Analyze market feedback and understand the needs of the target customers.
  • Lead team to conduct research on all customer segments, mine customer data and analyze profiles to establish requirements for market segments.
  • Conduct reviews periodically and revise strategies for target segments.
  • Develop campaign requirements for the various customer segments.
  • Monitor and track performance against targets and address relevant gaps.
  • Ensuring overall delivery of the goals and objectives of the Desk
  • Driving wholesale customer segment penetration and deepening wallet share
  • Increasing profitability of the wholesale segment
  • Driving acquisition of the wholesale customer segments
  • Fostering loyalty and stickiness of wholesale customer segments
  • Promoting increased mindshare.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Experience

  • Minimum experience of 7 years in related field.

Knowledge

  • FirstBank products and Services
  • First Bank customer experience delivery/ operations processes is desirable.
  • Industry knowledge on funding requirements with any of the major development agencies (BOI, NEXIM, USAID, DFID, IFC, DBN etc). Good understanding of financial institutions’ approaches to wholesale lending, risk mitigation strategies, loan appraisal criteria etc. In-depth understanding of wholesale development, segment needs and requirements.

Unit Head, Workflow and Enterprise Application Development

Job Specifications:

Job Description:

  • Supervise the successful completion of all work assigned to the Workflow & Enterprise Application Development Unit.
  • Assign work to team resources, balancing workload appropriately.
  • Work with EA office to ensure compliance of data and information with defined blueprint and standards.
  • Consult with relevant stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs.
  • Direct the development of accurate estimates for work request delivery and application support services.
  • Manage an application team to deliver services according to defined service level commitments.
  • Lead the development, building, configuration and unit testing of Workflow & Enterprise Application solutions from conceptualization through stabilization using various computer platforms.
  • Ensure that solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in delivery of reports.
  • Review technical constraints and performance issues of Enterprise solutions.
  • Assist in planning the introduction of new application systems.
  • Manage and report on progress of team tasks and objectives.
  • Monitor and measure effectiveness of maintenance and development processes.
  • Manages expectations of the team’s internal and external customers.
  • Communicates clearly the Application team goals, organizational philosophies, and policies and procedures to the Application team.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the creation of Workflow & Enterprise solutions development documentation.
  • Improves the Workflow & Enterprise systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to reports.
  • Serve as a member of the IT Services and Supplier Relationship Committe.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of a first degree or its equivalent in a business /IT related discipline
  • Masters, MBA or a recognized professional certification will be an added advantage

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in designing, developing and delivering solutions
  • 6+ years of management experience with 2+ years spent in senior management role
  • Experience on Enterprise solution architecture and Design
  • Familiarity with Cloud Solution architecture and Design
